Graduation is a wonderful event that represents the conclusion of a long educational journey. Each year we come together to celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates. I need to inform you that the date for the BHS graduation ceremony was recently changed. The graduation ceremonies for the BHS Class of 2020 will be held June 5th not June 12th (as originally planned). The ceremony begins at 7:30 pm and is held at the Chiles Center at the University of Portland. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions please contact Asst. Principal Maria Copelan.

Maria Copelan.

BEHAVIOR AND ATTIRE
Commencement is a formal ceremony. We ask for your support in encouraging graduates and guests to honor the formality of this ceremony. Please minimize disruptions so that we can ensure that the names of all graduates can be clearly heard. Medallions, cords, or tassels awarded by BHS are the ONLY adornments allowed on caps and gowns. No extra items will be permitted.
Seniors will line up in their designated areas on Friday, June 5th by 6:30 p.m. Graduates and faculty only will be allowed in the line-up area before the ceremony. Graduates should have their caps and gowns in their possession upon entering the Chiles Center. Once they have entered, graduates will not be allowed to leave. No bags or purses will be allowed into the Chiles Center. After commencement, guests may meet graduates outside the Chiles Center. Contact Dan Peters at (503) 690-7488, if you have not ordered a cap/gown.
Counselors will be handing out diplomas to graduates immediately after the ceremony in the Chiles Center (back hallway).
